The results are in. Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntyre and Jorge Nunez move on to the Top 12 of American Idol Season 8.

The group songs always amuse me, tonight they sang Katy Perry’s “Hot and Cold”. It was hilarious and cheesy. Then thankfully got into announcing who made it to the next round or not. I have to say I like not having a past idol perform; it made the hour go by so much faster. After we found out who made it into the top 12 from group 3 they announced the wild card contestants.

The wild card round is set for tonight at 8pm. Not sure what is going down with the whole wild card round but the judges picked 8 contestants to get a second chance at making the top 12. Your wild card performers are – Von Smith, Jasmine Murray, Ricky Braddy, Megan Corkrey, Tatiana Del Toro, Matt Giraud, Jesse Langseth, and Anoop Desai.

Hopefully tonight the girls will outshine the boys. All three spots after the top girl and top buy made it through were boys. Seems like the men have the edge in this year's competition.
