We said goodbye to Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez last night on American Idol. And the twist for the season was announced.

This year the judges get one veto power to use by the final five. So then the judges can swoop in and rescue someone from an early boot. If this was in place before it could have saved Jennifer Hudson or Chris Daughtry. Which Chris actually was booted 4^th so not sure how this would have worked. Guess the producers forgot. So what do you think good thing or bad thing?

 
This week it was between Megan and Jasmine and then Anoop and Jorge for your bottom 4. I was pretty close with guessing 3 of the bottom 4, swap out my choice of Matt Giraud for Jasmine Murray and I then would have had all four picked. Am I shocked that Jasmine went home, no. Jasmine has been inconsistent and it was only time that she would be one of the first ones to go. Jorge was a different singer bringing a different flavor but solely on his performance on Tuesday, you knew he was going home. Too bad I think I would have liked him to stay another week over Anoop.

It was also nice to finally see Kelly Clarkson back on the Idol stage. She looked good. She sang her new single “My Life Would Suck Without You.” Her new CD came out on Tuesday, “All I Ever Wanted.”

Next week is a big week for the contestants. It will narrow down the competition to 10 for the tour. So who don’t you want to see on tour? Will Kris, Megan, Matt or Anoop shine or bomb again. Tune in next Tuesday at 8pm on FOX.
