 With all attention on the wedding, don’t let the honeymoon become an after thought. Taking the number one spot in Modern Bride’s 2007 annual “World’s Best Honeymoons” survey this year, was Italy. And what could be more romantic then a honeymoon in Italy? This is the first year that Italy took the number one spot in Modern Bride’s survey, and it’s a wonder why. With all Italy has to offer, Venice, The Alps, and Rome to name but a few, it seems long over due to recognize this romance capital as the best place to start your new life.
Second on the list was Hawaii, which is no surprise since it was number one on Modern Bride’s list for a decade now, and for good reason. Hawaii is like another world. If you’re looking to stay with the US, Hawaii is the place to go. The weather is perfect and the views are beyond beautiful. You’ll never forget your honeymoon in Hawaii, and you’ll be thinking about how to go back as soon as you leave.
Third on the list was Tahiti, followed closely by Costa Rica. Both of which are awesome tropical destinations. If you’ve been to Hawaii and your still looking for a tropical destination either one of these locations will create memories that you’ll never forget.
Mexico took the number five spot. Often overlooked, Mexico is a great choice for a magical honeymoon. Attractions like beautiful sandy ocean beaches and mystical ancient ruin cities await travelers to discover and explore. Also the exchange rate makes the most of US dollars, which means you’ll want to bring back more souvenirs than you can carry.
Popular spot or not, your honeymoon is going to be one of the most special times in your life. If you don’t have the resources to travel to one of these destinations, don’t worry; every State in the Union has somewhere unforgettable.
